美国唐人街由于越南难民的涌入，形势更加复杂。当局对此更为关注和恐惧，遂暗中策划"以华制华"政策。一日，的士司机关志华突遭越青帮袭击，关与同伙准备报仇。当他们赶至越青帮聚集地时，发现对方全已遭毒手。警方接报后将此地包围，关被当成凶手为警方通缉，他只好潜返香港暂避。美警方追至香港，关再陷杀机之中。关从律师口中得知此乃政治阴谋。由于关的机智勇猛，越青帮没能奈何他，却捉走他的妻儿作人质迫他投降。关在澳门与越青帮交换人质时爆发了一场血战，他虽救出了妻儿，但料到今后的日子仍将陷于荆棘之中。

简介：The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 　　村里的采药师武群，儿子武小雨出生后虽然没有转世之人的特质，但是肤色黝黑，同时还有着一笑就下雨的奇怪现象，武小雨只要开心一笑，天空就立刻乌云密布下起雨来，时间久了村中许多小朋友都不敢和武小雨一起玩耍。
　　无奈之余武群以后进山采药都带着自己的儿子一同前往，一次进山采药中武小雨发现一颗系着红绳的人参，心地善良的武小雨将人参上的红绳摘下，十几年后，人参转化仙子灵儿前来报恩。
　　武小雨上山采药遇到仙子灵儿，二人一见钟情，慢慢知道灵儿便是当年那个人参喜出望外，误以为灵儿是转世之人于是将灵儿带回村子。结果发现村中男女老少已被小白龙烧杀抢夺，武群也身受重伤，寻求灵儿制服小白龙，灵儿为了保护全村与小白龙大战三天三夜因法力不敌小白龙，被小白龙致死后慢慢化作一颗人参叶子落在武小雨头上，武小雨顷刻间崩溃同时化身一条巨龙。
　　原来，武小雨只有拥有了灵儿的仙魂才会变身成神龙。与小白龙决一死战厮打在一起，最终胜利，人们获得生机。灵儿因拯救大家，小黑龙将自己修炼的龙珠吐了出来救活了灵儿，武小雨和灵儿得意团聚，封印被解除，村里过上安稳的生活。
