　　Lahela "Doogie" Kamealoha, a mixed-race 16-year-old girl in modern-day Hawai'i, juggles a budding medical career with life as a teenager. Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her family, including her spitfire Irish mother, who's also her supervisor at the hospital; and her Hawaiian "Local Boy" father, who is struggling to accept that his daughter is no longer his little girl.

　　The new season will see the Kinsellas at the top of the game in Dublin, but killing Eamon Cunningham has created as many problems as it solved. But the greatest threat to the family emerges from within: in the shape of a ruthless, bullying, agent of chaos. Fortunately, from positions of great adversity the boldest plans are often forged.
